Why not IT? One of the fast projected growth fields from 2008 - 2018 - With the Bureau of Labor Statistics stating, "Overall employment of computer network, systems, and database administrators is projected to increase by 30 percent from 2008 to 2018, much faster than the average for all occupations. In addition, this occupation will add 286,600 new jobs over that period. Growth, however, will vary by specialty." And that variance means that, "Employment of network systems and data communications analysts is projected to increase by 53 percent", in that period. Pretty amazing project growth by the US Government. If you'd like to read more and look at other fields for comparison check out, "http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos305.htm". It will give you a good idea on which career path one should choose for the future. And pay is just a great benefit from bottom 10% around $41k, and the top 10 over $100k a year. With the mean ranging between 50 to 90k/yr. Best of all Rasmussen College has your back the entire way to get you prepared for excellent career opportunities such as Network Administration.
